Abstract:
Provided is a material with free-cutting properties which is a manganese-aluminum bronze casting alloy in which the content of Al is greater than 10.0 mass% and is 16.0 mass% or less, the content of Mn is greater than 10.0 mass% and is 16.0 mass% or less, the content of Fe is 0.5 mass% to 7.0 mass% inclusive, the content of Ni is 0.5 mass% to 7.0 mass% inclusive, the content of Pb or Bi is 0.1 mass% to 1.0 mass% inclusive, the remainder comprises Cu and inevitable impurities, the Brinell hardness is 310 to 400 inclusive, and the cutting resistance is 300 N or less.
