There is provided a measuring device capable of recording identification information on an object only by measuring its temperature. The measuring device includes a contact-type temperature detection unit and a non-contact type radio unit. The radio unit has a signal reception range limited to the contact distance, i.e., the rod length of the contact-type temperature detection unit, so that identification information on the object whose temperature is measured can be obtained only by measuring its temperature. The range in which the identification information can be obtained is sufficiently small as compared to the size of the object. Accordingly, when the radio unit is configured as a movable unitary block with the temperature detection unit, even if a plurality of objects are placed, it is possible to obtain identification information on the object only by measuring its temperature separately from the information on the other objects and record the measurement value together with the identification information on the object measured.
