Abstract:
Provided are a medical image processing apparatus that notify an area of interest without interfering with observation of a time-series image, medical image processing method and program, and an endoscopic system. This medical image processing apparatus is provided with: a coordinate calculation unit which, on the basis of area-of-interest information indicating an area of interest in a time-series image, calculates one or more coordinates of interest indicating the position of an area of interest in the time-series image; and a notification information display control unit which, on the basis of the coordinates of interest, superimposes a figure on the time-series image, wherein the notification information display control unit increases the size of the figure when the size of the area of interest is larger and simultaneously decreases the proportion of the figure size with respect to the size of the area of interest.
