This medical system includes a medical device that observes a subject and a network device that is capable of communicating with the medical device. The network device generates identification information that corresponds to examination information, stores the examination information and the identification information in association with each other in a first storage region of a storage unit, and transmits the identification information to the medical device. The medical device receives the identification information transmitted by the network device, associates the identification information with a medical image that is generated relating to the subject, and transmits both to the network device. The network device receives the identification information and the medical image that the medical device has associated and transmitted and stores, in a second storage region of the storage unit, the examination information stored in the first storage region corresponding to the identification information associated with the medical image and the medical image in association with each other.
