Abstract:
[Problem] To provide metal fibers for reinforcing concrete which are able to be mass-produced at low cost and have excellent resistance to pulling out and a method and device for producing the metal fibers. [Solution] Metal fibers for fiber-reinforced concrete which, in the three-dimensional space defined by X, Y, and Z axes that are perpendicular to each other, each have a width along the Y direction, a length along the X direction, and a thickness along the Z direction, and have a wavy linear main body which extends in the X-Y plane and in which the ends (11, 15) are bent portions that are bent at an obtuse angle in the Z direction. The metal fibers are each produced by cutting out a metal fiber (10) by shearing the leading end of a continuous metal sheet while the metal sheet is being intermittently conveyed, at the pitch equal to the Y-direction width, in the Y direction on the die of a pressing device.
