Abstract:
A method of adjusting the characteristics of a dielectric filter. The dielectric filter comprises a dielectric block (1) of roughly rectangular parallelepiped shape having a plurality of through holes (2a) to (2c) passed therethrough between a first surface (S1) and a second surface (S2) opposed to each other and arranged in a row parallel with a third surface (S3) and a fourth surface (S4) orthogonal to the first surface (S1) and the second surface (S2). With inner conductors (3a) to (3c) and outer conductors (4) already formed on the dielectric block (1), a connection adjusting groove (5) linearly extending from the third surface (S3) to the fourth surface (S4) is formed in the first surface (S1) of the dielectric block (1) between the two adjacent through holes (2a) and (2b). The degree of connection between two resonators by the through holes (2a) and (2b) is adjusted by the depth, width, or length of the connection adjusting groove.
