Abstract:
A method of aligning genomic clones which comprises: (a) mixing clones in a genomic library contained in each of multi-well plates provided with identification numbers; (b) adding primers designed on chromosome marker sequences to the mixtures and thus effecting amplification reactions; (c) detecting signals corresponding to the above markers from the thus obtained amplification products and specifying the identification numbers of the multi-well plates containing the clones having the marker sequences; and (d) rearranging the markers in such a manner that the same identification number thus specified can be hold as far as possible, thereby aligning the multi-well plates.
