Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for effective distribution and storage in a cloud storage system. According to a preferred embodiment, a region is selected by applying a locality policy to an initial copy (or an original), and sequentially applying a low-cost policy, a load-balancing policy, and a space-balancing policy to the other copies. Afterwards, in a step of selecting a storage node in the region, a storage policy for cloud storage is applied in the order of the load-balancing policy and of the space-balancing policy.
