Abstract:
A method of reading data from a data carrier into a computer is provided in which the functions of communication and data processing are separated to eliminate the need of preparing separate application programs for different types of data. The method comprises the steps of transmitting data read from a data carrier to a computer, the data read by a read device provided in a case supporting the computer; and making an input file to store the data transmitted in the step of transmitting data.
