A method and an apparatus (600) for switching the state, belonging to the technical field of terminals. The method for switching the state comprises: receiving a state switching instruction (201, 303); if the switching instruction instructs a first device (120) to perform a master-to-slave switch, setting, by means of a logic controller, the level of a CC in a USB interface circuit from a high level to a low level (203, 204); if the switching instruction instructs the first device (120) to perform a slave-to-master switch, setting, by means of the logic controller, the level of the CC in the USB interface circuit from a low level to a high level (205, 307). Said method solves the problem of two devices (120, 140) connected by means of a connecting line (160) not being able to perform data interaction well as the master/slave state is random and cannot be switched, achieving the switch between the master state and slave state of the two interconnected devices (120, 140) by means of triggering the corresponding state switching instruction by a user, thereby improving the convenience of data interaction between the devices.
