Abstract:
A method, apparatus and system for online charging are provided in the present invention. Wherein the method for online charging includes: rating according to the requested amount of a user and reserving the rating in an intermediate account; deducting the fee from the intermediate account according to the usage amount of the user; and after the user is deactivated, sending a balance changing request to the balance management center according to the fee deduction in the intermediate account. By establishing the intermediate account in the Convergence Billing System (CBS), mirroring all the dynamic information of the correlative account of the user to the intermediate account in the CBS, and performing the reservation and fee deduction in the intermediate account for all the user services which are activated at this time, the present invention reduces the access frequency for the Account Balance Management (ABM), avoids communicating with the ABM in each charging process, shortens the communication link, and thereby increases the performance of end-to-end charging.
