Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for catalytically synthesizing ammonia at atmospheric pressure. In the present invention, ammonia is synthesized from hydrogen and nitrogen in a reactor at atmospheric pressure with a liquid alloy as a catalyst, wherein a molten salt is used in the reaction, the density of the molten salt is smaller than that of the liquid alloy, and the molten salt is used for providing a reaction interface and for isolating the liquid alloy to prevent impurities from being introduced into the reaction environment. In the present invention, a first metal reacts with nitrogen to produce a metal nitride, and the molten salt can provide a new reaction interface for the reaction of the metal nitride and hydrogen to synthesize ammonia, so that the metal nitride continuously generates ammonia, and the reaction rate and the synthesized ammonia amount are effectively catalyzed; in addition, the molten salt can prevent the liquid alloy from coming into contact with oxygen and water vapor in the outside atmosphere, thereby preventing the liquid alloy from being oxidized, and thus prolonging the service life of the liquid alloy.
