Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a method for increasing or decreasing the seed size of a Brassicaceae plant, seeds increased or decreased in size, a Brassicaceae plant capable of producing seeds increased or decreased in size, a method for producing the Brassicaceae plant, etc. A method for producing seeds of a Brassicaceae plant, said method comprising: (1) a step for crossing Brassicaceae plants with double-homozygous deletion of MEDEA and AT1G35183 genes; (2) a step for crossing Brassicaceae plants with double-homozygous deletion of JAS and AT1G35183 genes; or (3) a step for crossing a Brassicaceae plant with homozygous deletion of AT1G35183 gene as a pollen parent with a wild type Brassicaceae plant as a pistil parent.
