Abstract:
Disclosed is a method for controlling a wireless hotspot to sleep, comprising: a smart television obtains current states of a plurality of wireless hotspots in a hotspot area where the smart television is located; traverse the plurality of wireless hotspots, and if the current state of a traversed wireless hotspot is an operating state, obtain a first number of clients that currently access the wireless hotspot; if the first number is less than or equal to a first preset value, send a sleep instruction to the wireless hotspot, such that the wireless hotspot enters a sleep state. Also disclosed is a smart television. The present invention can manage the states of a plurality of wireless hotspots by using a smart television, and can reduce energy consumption and costs.
