Title:
METHOD FOR DETECTING TARGET PARTICLES
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2013/031365
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
This method for detecting target particles includes: (a) a step in which a solution is prepared that contains the target particles, a light-emitting probe that bonds with the target particles, and separation/recovery particles, or contains the target particles bonded to the light-emitting probe, the light-emitting probe itself, and the separation/recovery particles, and next, in the solution a composite is formed that comprises the target particles, the light-emitting probe, and the separation/recovery particles; (b) a step following the step (a) and in which separation of the liquids and solids causes the separation/recovery particles to be recovered, and a sample solution containing the separation/recovery particles is prepared; and (c) a step in which the number of molecules of the composite present in the sample solution is calculated using a scanning molecule counting method. Therein, the separation/recovery particles bond with an aggregate comprising the target particles and the light-emitting probe.
