Abstract:
A method and a device for detecting a fault in a terminal are provided. The method comprises: when a terminal is performing high-temperature processes, the terminal detects whether a loopback cable is plugged into a local area network (LAN) port of the terminal; upon detecting that a loopback cable is plugged into a LAN port, the terminal performs fault detection on the circuit board in the terminal. The described technical solution solves the problem in the related art wherein during dynamic high-temperature processes, testing parameters must be set manually in order to continue high-temperature testing, which leads to additional production steps and susceptibility to error. The invention increases the speed and accuracy of fault detection in a terminal.
