Provided are a method and device for displaying a picture window, a terminal and a storage medium, belonging to the technical field of computers and Internet. Said method comprises: displaying a front picture window in a user interface of an application program, the front picture window being used for displaying a picture photographed by a front camera of a terminal (210); displaying a function selection interface in the user interface, the function selection interface being used for selecting to turn on a target display mode, and the target display mode referring to a display mode in which a picture window is switched on the basis of a movement state of a holder of the terminal (220); in response to a target touch instruction for the function selection interface, displaying a rear picture window and the front picture window in the user interface, the rear picture window being used for displaying a picture photographed by a rear camera of the terminal (230). Thus, a live streamer that is performing live streaming can simultaneously take account of the live streaming content and road conditions during movement, ensuring the personal safety of the user.
