Abstract:

Provided is a device for manufacturing an article that includes an absorbent body, wherein the device comprises: first and second rollers R1, R2 that cooperate with each other to trim a continuous laminate W2 which serves as the absorbent main body and that successively form constricted sections on the continuous laminate W2; a third roller R3 that rotates in contact with the second roller R2 and that receives the continuous laminate W2 from the second roller R2; and a dividing cutter C that successively cuts the continuous laminate W2 being transported by the third roller R3 into individual article units so as to obtain the absorbent body.
