Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method of measuring the position of a terminal and a device for supporting the method. The method of measuring the position of a terminal by using a heterogeneous network signal in a wireless access system according to an embodiment of the present invention includes the steps of: receiving transmission time information that represents a time at which a signal for measuring the position of a terminal is transmitted; receiving a first signal from a reference cell at a time represented by the transmission time information; receiving a second signal from a measurement cell at a time represented by the transmission time information; calculating the difference between the time at which the first signal is received and the time at which the second signal is received to generate measurement information; and reporting the measurement information, wherein one or more of the reference cell and the measurement cell may be an access point that supports a heterogeneous network, a signal used in the heterogeneous network may be a beacon preamble in a beacon frame, and a signal used in a wireless access system may be a positioning reference signal (PRS) that is transmitted from a cellular base station.
