Abstract:
Embodiments of the present invention provide a method for finding a terminal, and a terminal. The method for finding a terminal comprises: starting a preset near field communication application of a first terminal if the current state of the first terminal satisfies a preset start strategy in the case of a loss; establishing a communication connection with a second terminal on the basis of the preset near field communication application; and receiving a control message sent by the second terminal by means of the communication connection with the second terminal, and sending, according to the control message, prompt information for prompting the location of the first terminal. According to the embodiments of the present invention, by starting a preset near field communication application of a first terminal by means of a predefined start strategy, starting and automatically connecting the preset near field communication application of the first terminal by using a second terminal as a client, and notifying a user in a preset approach, the user can quickly find the first terminal. The method can help the user to find the first terminal in a near field distance as quickly as possible, reduce user time, and improve user experience.
