Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a method for measuring the perpendicular cross-sectional shape of irregularly-shaped steel having a complex shape, said method enabling accurate measurement of the perpendicular cross-sectional shape of irregularly-shaped steel. This method for measuring perpendicular cross-sectional shapes of irregularly-shaped steel 100 comprises an image data acquisition step for acquiring image data of the perpendicular cross-sectional shape of the irregularly-shaped steel 100 by securely installing, at predetermined intervals in a range of an axis J of the irregularly-shaped steel 100, two to eight diffuse reflectance-type sensors which project and receive laser light in a direction orthogonal to the axis J of the irregularly-shaped steel 100 and within the same perpendicular cross-section of the irregularly-shaped steel 100, and by using the two to eight diffuse reflectance-type sensors to project and receive laser light onto/from the irregularly-shaped steel 100.
