Abstract:

A method for optimizing a database using knob vector representation comprises the steps of: receiving, by means of a computer device, an input of information about a target workload of the database; and determining, by means of the computer device, an optimal setting value for the database using a genetic algorithm. The computer device determines the degree of suitability on the basis of the difference between a predicted value output by a learning model that receives an input of the setting values of knobs in the genetic algorithm and a default value of the target workload.
