Title:
METHOD FOR PREDICTING AMOUNT OF HYDROGEN GENERATED IN ROLLING DEVICE, HYDROGEN GENERATION TEST DEVICE USED IN SAID METHOD, AND METHOD FOR EVALUATING LIKELIHOOD OF WHITE TISSUE PEELING OCCURRING IN ROLLING DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2024/105971
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
This method for predicting the amount of hydrogen generated in a rolling device includes a step in which, while two sliding members having a lubricant disposed therebetween are caused to slide against each other over the surfaces of contact, the exposed area of a surface newly generated as a result of the direct contact between the two sliding members is calculated, the amount of hydrogen generated from the lubricant is measured, and the correlation between the exposed area of the newly-generated surface and the amount of hydrogen generated is determined. The exposed area of the newly-generated surface is calculated using the metal contact ratio and the sliding speed of the two sliding members.
