Abstract:

The present invention relates to a method for preparing dimethyl terephthalate in a one-pot manner by using a cycloaddition reaction using acetylene and dimethyl muconate. The preparation method of the present invention is very simple, environmentally friendly since bio-derived muconic acid and bio-derived acetylene can be used, and economical and effective.
