Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for preparing a titanium carbide powder and, more specifically, to a method for preparing a titanium carbide powder, wherein the method comprises the steps of: mixing titanium dioxide (TiO2), calcium (Ca), and carbon (C); heating the mixture under an inert atmosphere to synthesize titanium carbide (TiC); and performing washing to separate calcium oxide (CaO) from the titanium carbide, and thus titanium carbide with a uniform shape and particle size can be prepared at relatively low temperatures.
