An intelligent server according to one embodiment may: receive a target utterance from an electronic device to process an incomplete continuous utterance; determine whether there is context information about a situation corresponding to the target utterance; when there is no context information corresponding to the target utterance, determine whether the intent of the target utterance can be determined without the corresponding context information; when the intention cannot be determined by the target utterance without the corresponding context information, determine domain information and intention information corresponding to the target utterance with reference to training data; and generate a processing result for the target utterance on the basis of the domain information and the intention information and transmit the processing result to the electronic device. The training data according to one embodiment may include utterance information, domain information for processing the utterance information, and intention information determined on the basis of the utterance information and the domain information.
