Abstract:

The purpose of the present invention is to provide a method by which lithium sulfide having high purity can be produced.　A method for producing lithium sulfide according to the present invention comprises: a first step for reducing a raw material containing elemental lithium (Li) and elemental sulfur (S) with a reducing agent containing elemental carbon (C) to obtain an intermediate substance; and a second step for reducing the intermediate substance using a reducing gas to obtain lithium sulfide. It is suitable to perform the first step in an inert gas atmosphere. It is also suitable to perform the first step under a temperature condition of 700-850ºC. It is also suitable to perform the second step under a temperature condition of 830-930ºC.
