Abstract:
[Problem] To provide: a method for producing metal nanowires, by which long and thin metal nanowires can be produced; and metal nanowires which are produced by this method. [Solution] A method for producing metal nanowires, which comprises a step wherein a solution containing a metal salt, a polymer, at least one substance selected from among halides, sulfides, carbonates and sulfates, and an aliphatic alcohol is prepared, and then heated and reacted at a temperature of 100-250°C for 10 minutes or more, while applying a simple shear stress of 10 mPa·m or less to the solution. In the heating/reacting step, the ultraviolet/visible absorption spectrum change of the solution is measured and the reaction time is controlled on the basis of the thus-obtained ultraviolet/visible absorption spectrum information.
