Abstract:
Provided is a method for producing a platinum colloid by reducing platinum ions using a platinum ion solution, water, a non-ionic surfactant, a pH compensation agent and a reducing agent, the method being characterized in that the platinum ion solution contains 20 w/v% of platinum, the non-ionic surfactant is Polysorbate 80, the pH compensation agent is an alkali metal salt, the reducing agent is a low molecular weight alcohol, and 600-660 parts by volume of water, 0.20-0.30 parts by volume of the non-ionic surfactant, 10-30 parts by volume of a 5 w/v% aqueous solution of the pH compensation agent and 27-37 parts by volume of the reducing agent are used relative to 1 part by volume of the platinum ion solution. Also provided is a platinum colloid produced using the method.
