Abstract:
The present invention pertains to a method for producing transformed cells of corn or corn plant The present invention also pertains to a method for introducing a nucleic acid to corn cells or corn plant. The present invention further pertains to a nucleic acid construct. This method for producing transformed corn cells or a corn plant includes: overexpressing in corn 1) a nucleic acid that codes for the amino acid sequence represented by SEQ ID NO: 2, or a nucleic acid that codes for a polypeptide which includes an amino acid sequence having at least 95% identity with the amino acid sequence represented by SEQ ID NO: 2 and which has a corn cell division-promoting function; or 2) the nucleic acid that codes for the amino acid sequence represented by SEQ ID NO: 15, or a nucleic acid that codes for a polypeptide which includes an amino acid sequence having at least 95% identity with the amino acid sequence represented by SEQ ID NO: 15 and which has a corn cell division-promoting function.
