Abstract:
Described is a method for the production of a heteromeric protein comprising a first and a second peptide chain, wherein the first peptide chain is expressed in an non human animal, and the second peptide chain in another non human animal. The peptide chains are isolated from the non human animals and combined, resulting in formation of a functional protein. Optionally, both non human animals are mated, leading to offspring non human animals expressing both first and second peptide chains and producing the protein.
