Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for purifying carbon nanotubes, comprising the steps of: (a) preparing a dispersion solution by dispersing, in an ionic liquid, unpurified carbon nanotubes comprising impurities; (b) emitting ultrasound waves at the dispersion solution; and (c) obtaining, from the ultrasonicated dispersion solution, high-purity carbon nanotubes from which the impurities are separated. The method for purifying carbon nanotubes, according to the present invention, uses the physicochemical properties of an ionic liquid to simply perform high purity purification in mass quantities without compromising the intrinsic properties of carbon nanotubes.
