Abstract:
A method for realizing metering pulse in next generation network (NGN), which enables MGC (media gateway controller) to cooperate with MG (media gateway), so as to realize the metering pulse service. When the billing initiation is required, MGC transmits the metering pulse signal to MG, and then MG transmits the first metering pulse to the user equipment immediately, and periodically transmits the subsequent pulse according to the pulse count and pulse interval specified by the signal parameter.
