Abstract:
The present application relates to a method for screening for a Cas protein or a variant thereof, a method for producing a highly active Cas protein or variant thereof by using the screening method, and a high-efficiency Cas protein or variant thereof selected by the method. By using a method for screening for Cas candidate proteins by using a testing vector and/or a testing set disclosed in the present invention, high-efficiency Cas can be effectively screened from numerous Cas candidate libraries. Furthermore, compared to the prior art, screening can be carried out under conditions close to actual Cas usage conditions, and thus, Cas candidate proteins that operate with high efficiency in vivo can be selected more successfully.
