Abstract:

A method, system and network device for resource management are disclosed. The network device is connected directly or indirectly to a user device through at least one user link. And the network device includes: a receiving unit, for receiving a resource request which is triggered by the user device or the network device, when the user requests a first service by the user device; a resource management unit, including: a resource admission control module, for providing a resource admission control function including the first service based on the resource request; a judging module, for determining whether there is a sufficient resource of useable user links prearranged for the first service; a resource coordinating module, for coordinating the occupied user links resource to meet the need of the first service, if the judging module determines that the resource of the usable user links is not sufficient. By adopting the solution, it is possible to manage the sharing user links resource efficiently by performing the resource admission control on the user links resource unitedly on an access device.
