Abstract:
A method and system for processing the location update of the mobile station in
WiMAX system relating to WiMAX communication technology is disclosed, so as
to resolve the problem in the prior art that the paging controller could not implement
the process according to the type of the location update of the mobile station
and therefore the rate of the success of the location update is low. In the description
of the present invention, the PA transmits LU request to the PC when the mobile
station is updating the location, in which the LU type information is carried
in the Lu request; the PC processes according to the LU type information when the
location update of the mobile station is successful. The LU type information
is represented by the corresponding flag or the optional information unit set
in the related information.
