Abstract:
Disclosed are a method for transmitting a beam failure recovery request (BFRQ), a terminal device, and a network device, relating to the technical field of communications, so as to solve the prior art issue in which when a beam failure event occurs in a secondary cell, a terminal device cannot transmit a BFRQ to a network device. The method comprises: a terminal device determining that a beam failure event has occurred in a first cell, the first cell being served by a first network device; and transmitting, in a second cell, a BFRQ to a second network device, the BFRQ being used to indicate that the beam failure event has occurred in the first cell, the second cell being served by a second network device, and the second cell being different from the first cell. The solution is specifically applied in a beam failure recovery scenario.
