Abstract:
The invention is directed to a microbial indicator composition for coating medical devices which is capable of indicating the presence of microbial activity on the medical devices. The microbial indicator composition includes a microbial indicator agent and may also include a base material. Medical devices coated with the microbial indicator composition and methods for coating the medical devices with the microbial indicator composition are also disclosed.
