Abstract:
A water containing chloride ions is electrolyzed by passing direct current between electrodes (142a, 142b) to thereby produce acidic water and alkali water. Mineral solve-out material (141) reacts with acidic water to thereby effect dissolution of mineral components. The concentration of hypochlorous acid in the water containing chloride ions is increased by electrolysis of the water containing chloride ions. The thus obtained mineral water is led into cold water storage tank (4). As a result, not only is mineral water supplied from the cold water storage tank (4) but also the multiplication of bacteria in the cold water storage tank (4) is inhibited.
