Abstract:
Disclosed are a mobile energy meter rental-type (subscription-type) energy management system and method in which a mobile energy meter is rented to a consumer to collect actual measured energy data of consumer equipment, and thus the cost of constructing a measurement system can be reduced and the energy data can be collected efficiently. The energy management system of the present invention comprises: a rental request receiving unit for receiving, from a consumer terminal, a rental request for a mobile energy meter; a rental contract processing unit for processing a rental contract for the mobile energy meter; an authentication key generation unit which receives a serial number from the mobile energy meter connected to consumer equipment, generates an authentication key for the mobile energy meter, and transmits the authentication key to the mobile energy meter; and a consumer equipment information update unit for updating information about the consumer equipment to which the mobile energy meter is connected. The actual measured energy data related to the consumer equipment can be collected using the authentication key stored in the mobile energy meter.
