Abstract:
A mobile terminal device where there is no increase in the number of operation
keys and the number of times the user presses the operation keys in inputting letters
is reduced. The mobile terminal device has operation keys (10-21) to which letters
and functions are allocated and that are arranged at an operation section so that
they can be depressed, released from the depression, and slid; a touch sensor
section (5) for detecting depression and release of each operation key; a movement
sensor (2) for detecting sliding of each operation key; a control section (101)
which, when the touch sensor section (5) detects that an operation key is depressed
and then detects the depressed key is released, execute a function allocated
to the depressed operation key, and when the movement sensor (2) detects that
an operation key is slid while the touch sensor section (5) detects that the key
is depressed, displays a letter allocated to the depressed key on a display section
(3).
