Abstract:
This monitoring device has a reception unit and a processing unit. The reception unit receives a frame from a communication network. The processing unit performs first determination for determining, on the basis of the result of message authentication of the frame, whether the frame is corrupt, and second determination for determining, on the basis of the mode of the frame and a predetermined rule, whether the frame is corrupt. Furthermore, depending on the combination of the result of the first determination and the result of the second determination, the processing unit performs at least one of: a process related to the frame; a process related to a transmission source device of the frame; alteration of content to be reported to an external device; and alteration of the priority of reports directed to the external device.
