Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to improve the thermal shock resistance of a monolithic refractory containing magnesia. Provided is a monolithic refractory which comprises, relative to 100 mass% of a refractory material, 15-50 mass% inclusive of a magnesia material having a particle diameter of 1 mm or more, 2-15 mass% inclusive of a fine alumina powder having a particle diameter of 1-10 μm inclusive, and 1-8 mass% inclusive of an ultrafine silica powder having a particle diameter of less than 1 μm, wherein, when the content of the magnesia material having a particle diameter of 1 mm or more is referred to as A mass%, the content of a magnesia material having a particle diameter less than 1 mm is A/10 mass% or less (including 0) relative to 100 mass% of the refractory material.
