Abstract:
A motion assist device is provided which, while reducing time delay, is capable of appropriate control in accordance with motions of a user. This motion assist device is provided with: a signal detection unit which detects a myoelectric potential signal of a user, an extraction processing unit which extracts motor unit action potentials from an acquired myoelectric potential signal, a synthesis processing unit which superimposes the muscular force of each of the extracted motor unit action potentials to calculate a requested assist force, and a torque calculation unit which, on the basis of the requested assist force, calculates the drive torque of an actuator that drives the motor assist device worn by the user.
