Abstract:
A multichip module which is provided with a light emitting element wherein either an anode or a cathode is connected to a power supply or a reference voltage, a control circuit which controls the quantity of the conducting current to the light emitting element and has a substrate of a conductivity opposite to that of the light emitting element, a lead frame of which the light emitting element and the control circuit are bonded to a common island section (4), and a package for sealing the light emitting element and the control circuit. Therefore, a small-sized multichip module using a light emitting element which emits a large quantity of light can be obtained.
