Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing an LW reversal type multilayer ceramic capacitor which is capable of suppressing deterioration of a self-alignment effect and achieving a stable mounting. The present invention provides a multilayer ceramic capacitor 1 wherein if l is the length in the longitudinal direction connecting a first end surface LS1 and a second end surface LS2 of a multilayer body 10, w is the length in the width direction connecting a first lateral surface WS1 and a second lateral surface WS2 of the multilayer body 10, and t is the length in the height direction connecting a first main surface TS1 and a second main surface TS2 of the multilayer body 10, the dimensional relationship w > l > t is satisfied. With respect to this multilayer ceramic capacitor 1, a fourth surface part 40A4 and a fifth surface part 40A5 of a first external electrode 40A and a ninth surface part 40B4 and a tenth surface part 40B5 of a second external electrode 40B have openings H through which the surface of the multilayer body 10 is exposed; and the fourth surface part 40A4 and the ninth surface part 40B4, and the fifth surface part 40A5 and the tenth surface part 40B5 have projections K that protrude from the center side of the longitudinal direction, in which the surface parts face each other, in the longitudinal direction.
