Abstract:

Aspects of the present disclosure relate to wireless communications, and more particularly, to mechanisms for muting inter-radio access technology (RAT) measurement reports for cells on a forbidden or restricted cells list. An example method generally includes determining that a user equipment (UE) is forbidden or restricted from registering with a first cell of a first RAT, and deciding, based on the determination, not to report inter-RAT measurements for the at least one cell of the first RAT when connected to a second cell of a second RAT.
