Title:
NON-FIXED TYPE IMPLANT FOR CRANIOTOMY AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING SAME
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2022/030759
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a non-fixed type implant which utilizes a biomaterial and a ceramic-based composite material having excellent bone conductivity along with a polymer material, and thus can be accurately secured to a gap between the skull bone and a cranial flap and has improved convenience of use; and to a method of manufacturing the non-fixed type implant. The non-fixed type implant comprises: a flexible wedge portion which can be molded along the outer shape of the cranial flap; and a plurality of wing portions, which are coupled to an upper or lower portion of the flexible wedge portion, and extend onto both side surfaces of the flexible wedge portion, wherein the plurality of wing portions have a porous structure, the wing portions on one side are positioned adjacent to and above the cranial flap, and the wing portions on the other side are positioned adjacent to and above the skull bone. Accordingly, there are advantages that a defect portion formed by craniotomy can be accurately secured by the implant, and biocompatibility, bone adhesion, and tissue invasion capabilities are improved.
