Title:
NON-HUMIDIFIED PROTON CONDUCTION MEMBRANE, PRODUCTION METHOD THEREFOR, AND FUEL CELL
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2017/183397
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
This non-humidified proton conduction membrane comprises a polymer and a proton-conductive substance. The polymer contains a vitrified or crystalline first site whereof the glass transition temperature or the melting temperature is higher than the temperature at which the proton conduction membrane is used, and a second site capable of forming a non-covalent bond. The proton-conductive substance contains separately in different molecules which interact with one another, or contains within the same molecule: a proton releasing/binding site capable of bonding non-covalently to the second site of the polymer; and a proton coordination site capable of coordinating a proton. A proton conduction mixed phase containing the proton-conductive substance and the second site bound to the proton releasing/binding site of the proton-conductive substance has a lowertemperature than the temperature at which the proton conduction membrane is used. There is an excess of the proton releasing/binding sites present compared to the second site of the polymer.
