Abstract:
A numerical control device for a wire electric discharge machining apparatus comprises a disconnection warning signal generation means, a disconnection warning detection means, a disconnection threshold setting means, a machining energy calculation means, a machining speed measuring means, a plate thickness calculation means, a machining condition switching means, a control means, a machining condition storage means, and a disconnection threshold storage means. The disconnection warning signal generation means generates a disconnection warning signal from the quantity of machining state so as to acquire the disconnection threshold value and the machining condition for each plate thickness in a trial machining. The disconnection warning detection means outputs a machining condition resetting command and a disconnection threshold value resetting command from the disconnection warning signal and the disconnection threshold value. The disconnection threshold setting means sets the disconnection threshold value from the disconnection threshold value resetting command and a disconnection signal. The machining energy calculation means calculates a machining energy from the number of pulses. The machining speed measuring means measures the machining speed from position information. The plate thickness calculation means calculates the plate thickness of an object to be machined from the machining energy and the machining speed. The machining condition switching means outputs a machining condition switching command from the plate thickness, the machining condition resetting command, and the disconnection signal in accordance with a predetermined algorithm. The control means sends an oscillation command to an oscillator and sends an axis feed command to a servo amplifier so that the machining condition may become the one determined by the machining condition switching command. The machining condition storage means stores the machining condition and the disconnection threshold value for each plate thickness.
